First adjust the stop block scissor action for desired width of the project. Ensure thread is screwed out of its length.

Place the CompressX® clamp on a flat surface so each clamp is approximately 100mm from the end of the project and approximately 800mm apart.

You can glue several narrow panels at once if you prefer, as long as total width is within your CompressX® clamp's capacity: all you do is leave out the glue between the outside edges of adjacent panels.

After applying glue to the individual boards, place them one at a time into the clamp. Alternate grain directions to reduce future panel warping. Align the ends.

Working from one end, set the initial pressure on each clamp, then return to each clamp to check and adjust tension as needed after inspecting panel for integrity.

Allow to dry following recommendation of glue manufacturer, then remove glued-up panel(s). Clean any residual glue off the clamps.

The CompressX® clamps is now ready for next job.

For difficult jobs, the clamps may be spaced closer together, or regular bar clamps may be added between CompressX® clamps for additional clamping force.

When not in use, all CompressX® clamps can be hung by the “T” bar to free up space.
